Our Facilitators
The People Holding the Work

Kat Da Silva
Executive Director and Well-Being Experience Designer
Kat has spent over a decade making wellness feel like it belongs to everyone. Not just the people who can afford a studio membership. Everyone. The park resident. The nonprofit staff member is running on empty. The executive who has never once been asked how their nervous system is doing.
That commitment took root in the early days of Be the Change Collective, when Kat co-directed the Conscious San Jose Festival – a free, community-rooted wellness festival that drew over 1,500 people and proved that San Jose was hungry for exactly this kind of space.
Her work is grounded in a foundation of psychology, somatic therapy, spirituality, and nervous system science. She holds a certificate in Integrative Somatic Trauma Therapy from The Embody Lab, a certification in Alignment-based Hatha Yoga from Body Temple Yoga, and brings training in mindfulness education and nervous system regulation to every room she enters. Her approach is grounded in research and guided by intuition.
At the heart of everything she does is a simple truth: well-being already lives inside you. Her favorite part of this work is planting those first seeds – introducing people to the innate tools they already carry, like breath and their own senses – and watching that awareness grow. This work is grounded in spirituality as much as it is in science. Because true well-being tends to the body, mind, heart, and spirit. That moment when someone realizes they don’t always need to go anywhere or buy anything to feel better. It’s already there.
“You Carry Your Well-Being with You.”
Mark Quijano
Yoga, Sound Guide & Events Operations Lead
Mark is one of those rare people who can hold a room in stillness and then turn around and make sure the whole event runs without a hitch. A 500-hour certified yoga teacher, sound journey facilitator, and operational backbone of some of BTC’s most meaningful events – including the beloved Conscious San Jose Festival – Mark has been part of this community for nearly a decade.
He shows up fully, every time. Whether he’s guiding a yoga practice, leading a sound journey, or making sure the logistics are locked so everyone else can focus on the experience, Mark brings the same steady, grounded presence to everything he does.
Melina Meneghelli
Bilingual Yoga & Movement Guide
Originally from Argentina, Melina has been living in California for the past seven years. Before beginning her journey as a yoga teacher, she worked in the tech industry. After moving to the United States and becoming a mother, she spent several years away from work, dedicating her time to raising her family. During that period, her personal yoga practice became an important and grounding part of her life. After practicing yoga for more than five years, Melina decided to follow her passion and completed her yoga teacher training at Yoga Source in Los Gatos. The experience was deeply transformative and inspired her to begin sharing yoga with others through teaching. One of the aspects she enjoys most is offering classes in Spanish, her native language. Teaching in Spanish allows her to create a meaningful space of connection for people who share the same language and cultural roots. Living far from home, these classes become a way for the community to reconnect with their identity, culture, and sense of belonging while staying close to their roots.
